Royal Derby Hospital Centre
The University Chaplaincy team is part of the Student Welfare department and we are able to support students and staff at Derby of all faiths or none. Please feel free to get in touch for advice or a chat about anything you like - for example, personal issues, exploring faith or information on university or local faith groups.
Chaplaincy and faith advice for all
The full team
representing various faiths are based in the Portland Building at University Park, but we are very happy to drop in by request to meet in the Student Services Centre or a coffee bar. If you would like to arrange a chat with a chaplain, please contact our administrator, Laura Hallam
on 0115 951 3931 or John Bentham
, our coordinating chaplain and we will respond very quickly.
Students and staff are very welcome to use the Faith Centre at the Royal Derby Hospital. These prayer facilities are available between 9am and 5pm on weekdays on the level one south corridor, near to the pharmacy. For out of hours access, please contact security staff of the hospital. Please wear your ID badges when accessing the Centre.
Jum'ah Prayers are held in the Prayer Room (a space for people of all faiths or none) on Fridays. There are washing facilities for men and women.
