Graduate Degree Courses

The Department of Archaeology offers a number of taught MA programmes, a number of which include the opportunity to focus on topics in late antique, Byzantine and early medieval archaeology – within the the MA in Research. Applications for doctoral research are also welcome and, provided their topic falls within the late Roman and/or the Byzantine period, successful candidates automatically become members of the Centre.

The Department of Classics offers a taught MA in Ancient History which includes the opportunity to focus on late Roman topics.

Both departments also offer an MA by Research.

Both departments offer PhD programmes, and particularly welcome applications to undertake research on topics related to the expertise of staff, as indicated under ‘About Us’.
