Dr Andrew Goffey from CFM ran a one day event (with Kevin Love from NTU) on the theme of 'Eco-Logics: Ethics, Politics, Art' at Nottingham Contemporary on 6 May. It was an interdisciplinary exploration of issues relating to questions about the human and natural worlds, and the kinds of relations that need to be understood when looking at global-ecological concerns. Guest speakers and topics include Dr Tom Tyler (Oxford Brookes) on anthropocentrism and Professor Arto Haapala (University of Helsinki) on environmental aesthetics. It was the first of an ongoing exploration of ethics, politics and art and ecology.
