The Departments of  Culture, Film and Media and History of Art have joined together to create a richer curriculum, offering wider opportunities to study transnational media and visual cultures.

As a student of Cultural, Media and Visual Studies you can

  • develop professional skills through our Creative Student Networkour student run curatorial group, Crop up Galleryand our on-campus gallery at Nottingham Lakeside Arts

We are also home to the Centre for Critical Theory, Centre for Contemporary East Asian Cultural Studies, Centre for Research in Visual Culture and the Institute for Screen Industries Research. We also maintain the archive of Scope: An Online Journal of Film and Television Studies, our long-running open-access forum for screen-studies scholarship.
