Political & Public Affairs Officer, Faculty of Registrars
Léonie is Political and Public Affairs Officer at The University of Nottingham, liaising with local and national policymakers to support the University of Nottingham's strategic aims and increase the impact of our research on public policy. She has several years' experience in the UK Parliament and the United States Congress, working with both Government and Opposition politicians to build relationships with key stakeholders and develop policy. Léonie graduated from Leeds University with a degree in Politics and Parliamentary Studies.
I support the University's institutional government relations activity, including organising visits and events involving politicians and policymakers, communicating policy developments to senior staff at the university and supporting institutional responses to policy changes.
In addition, I support researchers across all faculties to share their policy-relevant research with local, national and international policymakers and to involve those policymakers in shaping research priorities.
