External Relations

The student recruitment team are responsible for UK undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment to the University. The team organise a series of undergraduate and postgraduate events throughout the year, in addition to building relationships with the University's top feeder schools.

Open Days

Each year the University hosts University-wide open days. These events are usually held in June and September and are designed to allow visitors to find out more about the courses on offer and what it's really like to study at Nottingham.

The open days are significant events in the annual calendar and attract some 50,000 visitors each year.

If prospective students have missed the annual open days they may be interested in visiting a mini open day, these are smaller events run on a monthly basis. For more information on mini open days please contact the Enquiry Centre on 15559.

The 2014 undergraduate open days will take place on Friday 27 June, Saturday 28 June, Friday 12 September and Saturday 13 September 2014.

UCAS Visit Days

Each year, the recruitment team organises a series of UCAS visit days for offer holders. These events usually take place between November and April and are designed for offer holders to find out more about the degree subject for which they have applied.

HE Fairs

Each year we attend a growing number of recruitment fairs and currently attend approximately 40 UCAS fairs throughout the UK. These attract schools and colleges in large numbers but also those wishing to return to HE after some time out of education.

For 2014 dates or for further information, please contact the Schools Liaison Team on 0115 84 68144.

Mini Open Days

Throughout the year, the recruitment team run a number of mini open days at University Park.

Mini open days are designed for visitors who may have missed the annual undergraduate open days and are primarily aimed at prospective students, those who have not yet applied.

On the day, visitors are welcomed and have the opportunity to attend presentations on finance, accommodation and student life, go on a guided tour and speak to current students about life at the University. During the guided tour, visitors view a hall of residence and student guides are on hand to answer any questions.

The majority of academic Schools are available at some point throughout the day, providing an opportunity for visitors to speak to a member of academic staff and/or students.

Teachers' Conferences

As well as offering an extensive range of presentations and activities for students, the recruitment team also organise events for teachers and careers advisers. These activities aim to inform participants about the University as well as providing an opportunity to meet our schools liaison staff and network with other schools from around the UK.
