Undergraduate Community Internship Programme

The Undergraduate Community Internship Programme (UCIP) facilitates high quality work experience opportunities in third sector organisations for current undergraduate students. The project aims to share the skills, knowledge and enthusiasm of bright motivated students with local organisations who in return offer a valuable insight into working in the third sector.  You might like to read some case studies based on recent placement partnerships.

In 2014 Clare Sawyer, a third year Geography student, volunteered and was placed with the Nottingham Women's Centre. Here she explains why she took part in the programme and how it has helped shape her future.

If you are a community organisation who might be interested in having a placement or if you would just like to know more about the programme please contact Jacqui Storey.  Placements will start in September 2016.

If you are a current undergraduate student at the University of Nottingham you can find out how to apply for a placement on our Workspace pages.  Applications open Spring 2016.
