Research Fellow in IT Law, Faculty of Science
Dr Jiahong Chen is a Research Fellow in IT Law at Horizon Digital Economy Research, University of Nottingham. His research interests include data protection law, cybersecurity law, law and AI, data ethics and internet regulation. He completed his PhD on big data and data protection law at Edinburgh Law School, where he also served as the Editor-in-Chief of SCRIPTed: A Journal of Law, Technology and Society. His research has been published on leading peer-reviewed journals, such as International Data Privacy Law, European Data Protection Law Review and Artificial Intelligence and Law. Jiahong also teaches a range modules for on-campus and online distance learning programmes, including Information Technology Law and European Data Protection Law, and is currently supervising PhD and LLM students.
