Description

Mabel Cheung is a leading director, producer and screenwriter with over 30 years of industry experience. One of the most internationally recognised filmmakers of the New Hong Kong Cinema, she is the recipient of numerous major accolades including Best Director at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Her films include The Illegal Immigrants (1984), An Autumn's Tale (1987), The Soong Sisters (1997), City of Glass (1998), Beijing Rocks (2001), Traces of a Dragon: Jackie Chan and His Lost Family (2003), A Tale of Three Cities (2015).

Alex Law is a Hong Kong director, producer and award-wining screenwriter who has worked in partnership with Mabel Cheung for over 30 years. His scriptwriting credits include An Autumn's Tale (1987), Eight Taels of Gold (1989), The Soong Sisters (1997), Echoes of the Rainbow (Best Screenplay, Hong Kong Film Awards, 2010). He won Best Director at the Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards for Painted Faces (1989).
