CSSGJ present a half-day workshop entitled 'Critical and interdisciplinary approaches to mental health and wellbeing'.
Mental health and wellbeing is an area of study beyond psychiatry and psychology. Fields such as the arts, literature, history, sociology, philosophy, and politics have also made fruitful contributions. However, most conferences and workshops do not bring together a wide variety of viewpoints. This workshop invites scholars from all fields and backgrounds who wish to contribute to debates surrounding mental health and wellbeing.
We encourage and welcome presentations that provide critical perspectives on how issues of mental health and wellbeing are addressed in academia and beyond. In a friendly and informal setting, we invite speakers to present for 5-15 minutes on any topic related to debates in mental health and wellbeing, followed by open discussion and questions.
We welcome contributions at any stage of completion and hope to create a setting for a free-flowing discussion between and across academic disciplines.
