National Student Survey

NSS 2018_Static Banner_English_LB

As a final year undergraduate the National Student Survey (NSS) is your chance to make your mark on your University.

Give your opinions on what you loved about your time here, as well as how you feel we could improve the student experience.

Here you can find out where to fill in the survey, what you will be asked and how your answers will be used to benefit you, your University and future students.

68% of eligible students filled in the 2017 survey. But you can do better than that! Help us top that number by completing the survey now.

The NSS launches for UoN students on Thursday 1 February. You will receive an email from Ipsos MORI inviting you to take part in the survey and give anonymous feedback about your experience studying here.

What difference does the NSS make?

We are committed to listening to your views and as a result of answers given by past students in the National Student Survey we have made significant improvements to the teaching and facilities that we offer.

Why should I take part?

You may not have realised it but you've already benefited greatly as a result of previous NSS feedback.

Ten minutes of your time will help us to keep improving the student experience at Nottingham.

The NSS results also provide valuable information for prospective students, helping them to choose the right course for them.

What will I be asked?

The ten minute survey includes 27 questions covering:

  • the teaching on your course
  • assessment and feedback
  • academic support
  • organisation and management
  • learning resources
  • the Students' Union

Top target for employers

Four years ago students told us that they wanted improved career support so we invested in our Careers and Employability Service.

The University of Nottingham was named University of the Year for Graduate Employment by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017.
