Wei Li joined the department September 2018 as a Post Doctoral Research and Teaching Fellow. She obtained her Bachelor and Master's degree of Economics from Wuhan University, China. Then she moved to the Netherlands and studied for her PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam. After that she moved to London and had worked in a marketing consultancy company for four years. She had worked as a post grad teaching assistant in the department during 16/17 academic year.
Her research focuses on the application of econometric methods to study firm and consumer behaviour in retail markets using large datasets. The key words of the Econometric methods include discrete choice models, hierarchial models, Markov Chain Monte Carlo, forecast evaluation, model selection and factor models.
She teaches Econometric Theory I and II tutorials / computer classes, Economics Dissertation Computer Classes, and post graduate Economic Data Analysis computer classes..
