Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Athena SWAN silver award

Athena SWAN

As part of our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, each of our Schools and Faculties, as well as the University as a whole, make submissions to Athena SWAN. An Athena SWAN award represents a significant and specific commitment to gender diversity and inclusion, and involves a large amount of work in analysing data and developing and delivering action plans that respond to the priorities identified.

The University has a Silver Athena SWAN award and our Athena SWAN report sets out everything we've been doing and will do in the future to ensure a culture of fairness, flexibility and opportunity.

Each of our Athena SWAN self-assessment teams are chaired by one of our brilliant team of Athena SWAN leads. Their names are listed below. If you are interested in supporting action relating to gender equality in your School, Faculty or Department, please do contact your local Athena SWAN lead.
