Description

Do you love history and want to make it come alive for young people?

Our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) courses are designed to enable you to become an accomplished, passionate and inspirational teacher, who can make a real difference to the lives of children.

Why teacher training at Nottingham?

  • We are ranked 8th in the UK for education in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject
  • Over 95% of our teacher training graduates secure employment as teachers
  • The programmes inspected during our last visit from Ofsted were rated 'Outstanding' - read the full report
  • You will be taught by academics who are all experienced teachers and who are recognised nationally and internationally for their work
  • We work in partnership with excellent schools across the East Midlands in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire, enabling you to gain a broad experience of different educational settings

This lunch-time session will explain the different routes into teaching history at secondary level offered by The University of Nottingham, the course structure, content and the support you will recieve whilst training and as an Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT).

More information can also be found on secondary teacher training and the history course on the website.
