If you are a final year University of Nottingham undergraduate science student, we need you!

As you look to the future, have you thought about what influenced, and inspired, you to become a scientist?

We are sure that for many of you this will relate to one, or more, of your school science teachers. Science education has never been so important and our future generations need excellent scientists, like you, to inspire them.

Did you know you can stay with the University of Nottingham and train to be a science teacher?

Here at the School of Education, we have been educating teachers for over 125 years and in 2017 we were named as one of the top ten PGCE providers in the UK. As a team, we are committed to developing inspirational and influential science teachers who will foster a love of our subject in the young people with whom they work.

To achieve this we need you. We know how good your undergraduate course has been and what a great foundation it is for moving into teaching – you can stay with your university and continue your journey of learning!

Why not come along to find out more at this special event for our science alumni. You will have chance to have some hands-on experiences of learning to teach science, meet the team and some of our students who are just completing their PGCE year.

We put our beginning teachers at the heart of everything we do so they can put pupils at the heart of everything they do.
