Description

A Science Education Interest Group meeting

We are very pleased to welcome Dr Jasper Green, Ofsted’s Subject Lead for Science to share his insights and thinking about the research review in science which was published at the end of April 2021. Dr Jasper Green will present a short talk (45 minutes) and answer questions.

Ofsted’s review of research has attempted to identify and understand the principles that underpin a high-quality science education. His presentation will be, ‘The structure and function of the science curriculum: key insights from Ofsted’s review of research’. In this talk Jasper will outline what Ofsted found and considers what this means for teachers and schools and Ofsted’s work as an inspectorate.

This session will be important for beginning and experienced teachers and those interested in understanding the findings of the research review.
