Dr Martha Jones wins a Volunteer Award

Congratulations to Dr Martha Jones who has won the Volunteer Co-ordinator Award in this year's Volunteer Awards. The awards celebrate the extraordinary alumni and community supporters who give their time to improve the student experience, transform local communities and make a positive difference to our world. 

Martha has been recognised for work she has done with alumni which includes:

  • The creation and exploitation of the online International Language Teaching Alumni resource
  • Organising an event every October to bring together new students and alumni from the School of Education language cluster courses so that the new students can hear their stories and experiences of studying on the courses and what they have done to develop further after successful completion of the course
  • The creation of a Linkedin alumni group  

Martha was presented her award by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shearer West.
