Gary Mills will be running a workshop on 8 November for social studies teachers in Connecticut, USA, on teaching difficult histories.
Gary is an Associate Professor of History Education and a member of the Centre for International Education Research. His current research focuses on two key aspects of teaching about the Holocaust and other 'difficult' histories: the use of photographs, and the use of testimony in classrooms and museum settings.
For this workshop, he will be turning some of his research on the use of images into practical classroom resources.
