Join us at the founding of the Observatory for Mathematical Education, an exciting new chapter in a world-renowned mathematics education research programme that stretches over 55 years.
The Observatory will be a collaboration between the university's School of Education and School of Mathematical Sciences. It launches with an ambitious ten-year programme of research, development and influencing that will support the improvement of mathematics education in England and accrue long-term benefits for individuals and society.
We are building a new interdisciplinary team to run the country’s first dedicated mathematics education research ‘data lab’. Together with major cohort studies and a suite of additional projects, the team will generate transformative knowledge of mathematics education systems. This is a tremendous, once-in a generation opportunity to be part of a major investment in mathematics education research and development.
Explore the Observatory site to find out all about our current opportunities - our vision for the Observatory, and the possibilities we can offer you as part of a world-leading university. Come and join the Observatory at this exciting time!
