Centre for Research in Arts, Creativity and Literacy (CRACL)

Our focus is on the arts, creativity and learning. We research in schools, universities, museums and galleries, theatres and cinemas, and local neighbourhoods.

We work with teachers, artists, writers, museum and gallery educators, community groups and arts and cultural organisations, big and small, locally, nationally and internationally.

We are committed to long term, exploratory research partnerships. We aim to build richly descriptive, well theorised accounts of pedagogy and practice and, through these, to understand more about the benefits of participation in cultural and creative activities.
