Teaching practice opportunity: English Language Support for Refugees and Migrants in the Nottingham area
Students on the MA Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) course studying in Nottingham may have the opportunity to take part in a Nottingham Advantage Award (NAA) module - English Language Support for Refugees and Migrants in the Nottingham area.
This module allows you to provide English language support to refugees and migrants in the Nottingham area who need general and functional English to survive and adapt to life in the UK. This will provide you with an opportunity to put into practice knowledge and skills already acquired in the teaching of ESOL.
Please note, to view the full course details and apply, you must be a current University of Nottingham student.
To gain the 10-credits for this module, you will need to teach six two-hour sessions to the refugees and migrants. You will also need to write a 1,000 word reflective essay on this experience.
