All new students** are required to attend an Induction Event (you will be asked to confirm your attendance when you make your module selection).
If you are a new student and taking a module in Week 2 only, you are not required to attend the event.
If you are a returning/continuing student**, the induction day event is not compulsory but we do recommend you attend as there are sessions specifically for you.
There is an academic writing refresher session, and if you are studying your final module(s) at Summer School, we will be holding a dissertation session which will be extremely useful to you.
* Dates to be confirmed.
** If you are attending Summer School for the first time, you will be a new student. If you have already started your masters programme either at a previous Summer School or throughout the year, you will be a returning student. If you have studied a PGCE with us and are now starting the MA Education, you will be a new student and should attend all of the induction programme.
