What you need to know

The Mahara ePortfolio tool allows students to create and maintain a structured digital portfolio. This combines flexible online learning with collaborative features and enables easy interactions with tutors, peers and even employers.

Besides collaboration, Mahara can also be used to help with assessment, feedback and tutoring, as well as develop employability skills.

Examples of schools which are using this tool include:

  • Biosciences
  • Education (including CELE)
  • English
  • Medicine (including Graduate Entry Medicine)
  • Sociology and Social Policy
