Publishing Video and Audio

Publishing Video and Audio

The University supports platforms for video publishing, including MediaSpace, the University's website and Moodle.

In addition to the guidance provided below, the Learning Content Team is also on hand to provide direct support and advice about the most appropriate route(s).

What you need to know

Publishing to MediaSpace

MediaSpace enables staff to easily upload, manage and publish their own video and audio files. To do this, you will need to:

  1. Go to the MediaSpace homepage
  2. Login with your regular University username and password
  3. Follow the MediaSpace Service Instructions PDF

You can display these videos on the University's website through our content management system Contensis.

Publishing to Moodle

You can also publish your video and audio files directly to Moodle by following these instructions:

Moodle help (Workspace)

This does not apply to recordings made using the Engage (lecture capture) service, although it is possible to make such recordings automatically available via Moodle.

Publishing to iTunesU or YouTube

The University has its own official iTunesU and YouTube accounts, which can be accessed here:

To publish content on either of these channels, please contact the Learning Content Team
