This is the first time the Faculty has selected an individual charity to support throughout the year.
The Trust helps families buy essential kitchen equipment, covers transport and accommodation costs when attending hospital appointments, and pays for family days-out or holidays so that children and their carers can have a break.
Dr Bekki Burns
Chairman of The Campbell Burns Metabolic Trust, has worked within the Faculty since 2008.
“Friends within the Faculty have supported the Trust for years in informal ways – we’ve benefited from the efforts of bakers and runners! I’m so pleased that the Faculty will support our charity in a more formal way and we know that the University of Nottingham will help The Campbell Burns Metabolic Trust continue to support the families of young children caring for children with metabolic conditions.”
