Sultan is a capable and experienced architect with more than 12 years' experience working as an architect and then as a director of the department of supervision and execution in the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia, which has provided a highly developed professional working knowledge of the Engineering Building. He has a wide experience in dealing with large and complex projects, as well as experienced in preparing the specifications and documentation of construction projects. He has participated in many committees and has completed various tasks in many different regions of the KSA. He is well versed in various fields of activity connected with building construction and operation. In 2016 he received his M.Sc. degree in International Construction Management and Engineering from University of Leeds. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Building Technology at the University of Nottingham. He is part of the Buildings, Energy and Environment Research Group at University of Nottingham.

Sultan research project seeks to investigate traditional and modern building construction materials/design and carry out a comparative study, in an effort to inform current building practices on the effectiveness of various materials and designs used for building envelopes in the context of Saudi Arabia. To explore the role of the building envelopes towards achieving sustainable buildings. Also, his project will discuss some insights on how the building envelopes should be designed, executed and maintained towards achieving sustainable buildings.
