B.Chitti Babu received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India, in 2012. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India from 2007 to 2013. He had Post-Doctoral research appointments with the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland, from December 2013 to June 2014, and with the VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Ostrava, Czech Republic, from September 2014 to September 2015. Both of these appointments were sponsored by the European Commission, UK. He was a visiting researcher at Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI), Italy during 2014-2015. In September 2016, he became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, Malaysia. His current research interests include power electronics applications in smart distribution grids with renewable energy sources. He is a senior member of IEEE, and IEEE Power & Energy society.
He is actively involving in teaching and research in the area of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, includes Power Networks, High Voltage Engineering, Electrical Machines, Renewable Energy Systems, and Modeling and Simulation of Photovoltaic (PV) Power System.
