Ground-breaking heart monitor could save thousands of babies born not breathing


A new medical device developed by James Carter here at Nottingham could soon be used to save the lives of thousands of babies born not breathing.

The SurePulse VS is an optical sensor built into a hat. The ground-breaking piece of kit accurately displays the babies heart rate on a screen and guides clinicians through the delicate and time-sensitive process of recuscitation.
