The Salters' Institute Annual Awards Ceremony was held on Friday 7 December 2018, where over 180 guests gathered at Salters' Hall to celebrate high levels of excellence within the science education sector and the chemical industry.
During the event, two University of Nottingham graduates were presented with prestigious awards; Rebekah Sample, a final year student here at University of Nottingham, received the Graduate Award. Whilst Julia Cole, who already received a Salters' award when she was a student, took home the Centenary Award for her work as an engineer at Uniper UK.
Two fantastic achievements by two inspiring female engineers. Rebekah and Julia were presented their awards by Dr Emma Sceats, Chief Executive Officer of Isogenica and Salters’ Chemistry Graduate Awardwinner 2002, who delivered a keynote address at the event.
