Biography
Chris Garrod is the Faculty Operations Director for the Faculty of Engineering. Chris joined the Faculty in August 2019 from the University of Leicester where he was the Director of Academic Services. Within this role he was responsible for leading a number of institution-wide change projects implementing policy, process and system to improve academic administration. Prior to this he worked in a variety of roles at Loughborough University within both central professional services and an academic school.
As the Faculty Operations Director, Chris works with the Faculty's Executive Board on the strategic development of the Faculty. He provides strategic leadership, working with colleagues to ensure coherent and effective operational and financial management within the Faculty and across the wider-University. Chris also oversees Faculty business planning, strategic change projects, risk management and compliance-related matters.
