Research & Business Development Manager - EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Hub, Faculty of Engineering
I am a Research & Business Development manager for the EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub, a 7 year, £10.3m investment to expand the national research effort towards delivering a step change in the production of polymer matrix composites.
I support the Hub Strategic Development Committee and work with Hub members both at Nottingham and at nine other member institutions to obtain external funding for future projects.
Richard holds a PhD in Glacier Hydrology from Loughborough University and has held research and teaching positions at a number of UK universities. Prior to joining the Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub, he worked in the University of Nottingham's Energy Technologies Research Institute offering support to businesses seeking to adopt or develop low carbon technologies. Richard has also worked extensively with SMEs to help them access R&D funding through National and EU programmes. This has included proposal writing, project management and technical planning on a wide range of subject areas.
