Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering

Slawomir Sujecki received PhD and DSc degrees from the Warsaw University of Technology in 1997 and 2010, respectively. He has more than 15 years of experience in optical and optoelectronic modelling and led the laser diode modelling activities in several EC projects: WWW.BRIGHT.EU; FAST ACCESS and WWW.BRIGHTER.EU, which relied on very close collaboration between the academic partners and the major semiconductor laser manufacturers in Europe (THALES, OSRAM, Modulight, Ferdinand Braun Institute and Fraunhofer Institute). In these projects Dr Sujecki worked on the development of advanced semiconductor design tools and optimised the laser diode designs. Currently his work focuses on the development of the design tools and modelling of chalcogenide glass fibre lasers. Dr Sujecki is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Life Member of OSA and a member of the Programme Committee of the NUSOD Conference (Numerical Simulation of Optoelectronic Devices). He has published over 50 journal papers and more than 80 conference papers.

Research Summary
