Research Fellow, Faculty of Engineering
Dr. Xiang Zhang was born in Shaanxi, China, in 1990. In July 2013, he received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University(ZJU) , Hangzhou, China, where he continued working towards the Ph.D. degree from September 2013 to March 2019. Meanwhile, he was working towards the P.h.D degree at the Bio, Electro and Mechanical Systems Department of the Université Libre de Bruxelles(ULB), Belgium from July 2017 to March 2019. He was awarded a double Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering by ZJU and ULB in March, 2019. He was working on the control of high-speed PMSM/Gs for Flywheel Energy Storage Systems during his Ph.D. He has started his position as a research fellow in University of Nottingham since May 2019. His present work is focused on the Distributed Electrical System of More Electrical Aircrafts.
