Faculty of Engineering

Your Voice

In The Faculty of Engineering, students and staff work together to continually improve the student experience.

Through our Learning Community Forums (LCF), Faculty of Engineering Student Experience Committee (FESEC), Student Experience Fund and elected course reps we make sure our students have the opportunity to influence their academic life and make a meaningful impact.

Our Your Voice campaign highlights all the different ways you can shape your experience in the faculty.

Take a look below at all the different options available to you. If you have any questions about the ways you can make your voice heard then contact Emma Hopkins, Student Experience Manager.

Student and Course reps

Find out how you can contact your course rep to discuss any issues you may have with your academic experience.

Student Experience Fund

Do you have a great idea that the faculty can support? The Student Experience Fund is now open for bids and ready to hear your pitch.

National Student Survey (NSS)

Final year students have the opportunity to influence the academic experience for their fellow students via the NSS.

Learning Community Forums (LCF):
LCFs give your elected course reps the chance to work with academic colleagues on the feedback they have received from you. You can find the minutes from your department's recent LCFs here

Faculty of Engineering Student Experience Committee (FESEC):
FESEC is made up of academic members of staff, student experience team members and education reps. The committee meets on a monthly basis to discuss how the student experience can be improved and also to approve bids to the student experience fund.
