The School endeavours to create an environment that allows staff and students to thrive and excel in their education and career alike. We support equality, diversity and inclusivity in the School and are working hard to ensure a better representation of staff and students across all of our activities.
The School has prepared for an Athena SWAN Bronze Award submission. We actively engaged with staff and students to review and update our framework of principles relating to equality, diversity and inclusion at all levels. The School’s commitment to the Athena SWAN award is a reflection of our endeavours to create an environment for all staff and students that is unified in its celebration of diversity. We already work hard to provide an environment that allows staff and students to thrive, and are looking forward to continuing to develop our practices in this regard.
The school has a dedicated EDI Committee that was founded to address and attempt to solve any issues with EDI that might arise. The committee is formed from a diverse group of staff and students, and is chaired by Dr Lucy Jones.
