The English Showcase is a one-day, student-led conference, designed to celebrate the research produced by Final Year Undergraduates and Masters students.
Students will present on a wide range of topics, from all areas of English at Nottingham: literature; language and linguistics; medieval language and literature; drama, theatre and performance; and creative writing. As well as sharing their work with their peers, students also have the opportunity to develop their presentation skills and enhance their employability.
The English Showcase Committee have also invited a keynote speaker: award-winning author and School of English alumni, Clare Harvey. Clare will be discussing her time at Nottingham and how she came to write her novel, The Gunner Girl (winner of the 2014 Exeter Novel Prize).
This year's Showcase will take place on Wednesay 10 February, from 1-5pm in Sir Clive Granger Building, Room A41.
