Body-Politics of Scandinavia in the first millennium CE

Dr Marianne Hem Eriksen, School of Archaeology and Ancient History, University of Leicester
A Norse and Viking Seminar from the Centre for the Study of the Viking Age. 

We look forward to welcoming Marianne Hem Eriksen, who has a PhD from the University of Oslo and is currently Associate Professor of Archaeology at the University of Leicester. She was also one of the winners of a Philip Leverhulme Prize in 2022. At the moment and until 2026 she is concentrating on her work as Principal Investigator on a European Research Council-funded Starting Grant Project Body-Politics: Personhood, Sexuality and Death in the Iron and Viking Ages. In this seminar, she will be reporting on the progress of this project. All welcome.
