Welcome

The ESRC funds a naitonal network of institutional and consortia level Doctoral Training programmes, through which it funds over 500 new postgraduates each year. This network covers the full disciplinary range of the social sciences as well as areas of interdisciplinary research.

Since welcoming its first cohort in 2011, ESRC Doctoral Training at Nottingham has supported around 200 students to undertake cutting-edge interdisciplinary research that provide insights into some of the world’s biggest challenges.
