The University of Nottingham currently hold a Silver Athena SWAN Award in recognition of its good working practices in relation to the employment of women in the STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) disciplines.

Research related projects

RGS project manages institutional research related projects, including:

  • Institutional responses for major and strategic programmes of research, where submissions typically have a value of greater than £1m. As detailed in the Guidance on Major and Strateigc Research Applications.
  • The overall governance and management of all aspects of the preparation and submission for Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014)
  • Development of strategic partnerships with HEIs and research funding bodies manage and co-ordinate strategic programme to engage effectively with EU to prepare for Horizon 2020
  • Peer Review and mentoring
  • Doctoral Training Centres
