Biography:
From Buenos Aires, she was the sister of Juan Lavalle, and sister-in-law of Dolores Correas de Lavalle. Her house was attacked on the eve of the Unitarian invasion, her dead son's watch was stolen and furniture destroyed. She warned the attackers that her brother would get his revenge. When one of her maids was hit by the men, she was furious and lashed out against him, hitting him many times. The men, intimidated, left without stealing any more goods. The next day Rosas's aide returned the watch with apologies. (Sosa de Newton, 350)
