Biography:
She was born in France and married José Joaquín de Mora. They went to Buenos Aires in 1827 at the invitation of President Rivadavia. She contributed to the opening of the Colegio Argentino, at which women were educated in the French and English style. When Rivadavia fell, they went to Chile (10 February 1828). She founded a Colegio para Señoritas, and he created El Liceo de Chile, for men. (Montes, Orlandi, 55-58)
