Biography:
Born in France in 1790, she met the Italian writer Pedro de Angelis in Paris and they married in 1820. They moved to Buenos Aires in 1827 where they met José Joaquín de Mora and his wife Fanny. Dayet de de Angelis and Fanny Mora founded the Colegio Argentino, modelled on the French educational system. She was widowed in 1859 and worked as a governess. She was friends with María Sánchez de Mendeville, and María Bevans de Pelligrini who helped her. She was the first president of the Sociedad Damas de Caridad de San Vicente de Paul, which was founded on 14 July 1866. She died in Buenos Aires on 2 November 1879. (Sosa de Newton, 181)
