She was born in Buenos Aires and baptised on 19 August 1801. She married her cousin, General Gregorio Aráoz de Lamadrid on 1 September 1820. She accompanied him on his battles and into his exiles. They had three children. She died in Buenos Aires on 12 April 1871 of yellow fever. (Sosa de Newton, 190)
