Biography:
A woman from 18th century Mexico who entered a convent. After she began to have “terrible fights against the demons who inhabit the earth”, her companions persuaded her not to take her vows. At times she would levitate, held by an invisible force. The community at the Convent of Carmen del Puebla handed her over to the Santo Oficio, judging her to be demonised. (Domenella, 366)
