Biography:
She was married to Colonel Matias de Villar. She and her two sisters fled Mompós after the battle of Chimá (1815?) to escape persecution by the royalists. She had three young children. They sought exile up the slopes of the Cauca valley. One of her sisters died at Zaragoza in the harsh conditions, they then continued on foot through the mountains, almost barefoot. They crossed the river Magdalena and reached Guaduas. They returned to Ciudad Valerosa in 1820. (Monsalve, 109)
