Biography:
The mother of Bartolomé Mitre, she was born in 1800 and was a widow when she married Ambrosio Mitre on 2 May 1820. They moved to Carmen de Patagones with the infant Bartolomé, where they had two more children. They moved to Montevideo in 1831, where Ambrosio Mitre was Treasurer General until his death in 1845. She returned to Buenos Aires in 1852 with her daughter Edelmira, born in 1833. She died in Buenos Aires on 24 December 1876. (Sosa de Newton, 392)
