Biography:
A slave woman brought to Peru. She married Pedro Rosas in August 1798. He enlisted for the royalist troops, serving in the 1st company of Morenos, Lima until June 1814 when he was killed at the battle of Ilave. In 1818 she petitioned the courts for his back wages. These were granted. Blanchard points out that she is called Doña in the records, indicating a higher degree of social status. (Blanchard, 10)
