Biography:
A Lima elite woman, born around 1781. She was married several times and had a relationship with a priest after her last husband's death. She was a prominent slave holder who protested against the abolition of slavery. In 1856 she suggested that former slaves should stay and work for their owners until the latter had received full compensation. (Blanchard, 79, 201,204)
