Biography:
She was born around 1731 into a "very old family". John Parish Robertson met her in around 1815 and described her as eighty-four years old, "rich, hale, healthy, vigorous and active". She rode from her country house to Asunción three times a week. "Though a wrinkled skeleton, and brown as an Egyptian mummy, she was erect; she did not totter at all; and her utterance, even in Spanish, was clear, unbroken and distinct."
She invited John Parish Robertson to stay in her large country house in Campo Grande. She would give him three apartments and the necessary servants. (Robertson, 304-307)
