Biography:
She was born in Buenos Aires on 24 November 1781, the daughter of Manuel Antonio Warnes of Cartagena and Ana García de Zuñiga. Her father was a Captain of milicias, and alguacil mayor del Santo Oficio y Cabildante. She married Baltasar Unquera on 28 July 1805, a sailor in charge of "El Fuerte". He died in Spain, years later. In June 1810 she donated a telescope of "high quality" to the independence cause and her mother gave 50 pesos fuertes. (Carranza, 48-49)
